The right to associate freely with others – to pursue common goals, to express ideas, to further a shared desire to work in safety and with dignity – is a fundamental freedom of democratic societies and a core American value. America owes it to its workers to respect this right. It also compromises its ability to champion this freedom around the world when it is imperiled at home.
